Leni Cecil graduated magna cum laude from California State University, Chico in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations. While studying for her undergraduate degree, Leni began working for partner, Douglas Jacobs as a file clerk. In 2009, after studying and teaching abroad, Leni returned to Jacobs, Anderson & Potter with a paralegal certificate in general civil litigation obtained with honors from San Diego University. She continued to work for the firm as a paralegal for 10 years. In 2019, Leni obtained her Master’s Degree and Juris Doctorate from Cal Northern School of Law and was admitted into the California State Bar. Since her admission, Leni has remained at Jacobs, Anderson & Potter with a focus in conservatorships, probate, estate planning and business formation. In 2022, she became a partner in what is now known as Jacobs, Anderson, Potter, Harvey & Cecil, LLP. Leni, pronounced Lainey, is a Dutch first name. Her father originally came to Northern California from The Netherlands as an agricultural exchange student. Leni and her husband are both native to the North State, growing up as children of farmers in Glenn County. They currently reside in Chico, California where they spend their free time enjoying the beautiful mountains and rivers of the North State.
